Whew! The days surrounding Memorial Day weekend sure had a whirlwind of activity...
Thursday held some big news with a company I had interviewed with previously. They wanted to meet me in person suddenly. Apparently, the individual selected didn't work out - in a BIG way. So, they asked me to come in for a visit. Um, Friday!
So, Friday held an interesting talk with the interviewing team. They're a nice bunch. Straight-shooters, much like myself. Have fun, relax, but cut all crap and get the job done. Cool wth me. They said they'd make a decision/selection by Tuesday. We'll have to wait...
You know, I really love Memorial Day Weekend. Sure, there are the patriotic sounds, music, movies, and marathons. Sure, there are festivals, food, fun, and a day off. On social, moral and religious issues, most popular “conservatives” doesn't come close to anything reasonably Biblical (whatever “reasonably Biblical” means).
Am I some non-thinking, fanatical wierdo that only believes that: 1.) if it's fun, it must be wrong, and 2.) I believe soemthing because someone else told me so? Absolutly not. I believe some things differently than my parents and my childhood church...
